How Nabi serves California

Nabi’s current provider-matching rules allow the displayed clinician team to be considered for clients in California. A clinician is still selected for subject-matter fit, age group, insurance network, and schedule—not just state service eligibility.

29 Nabi dietitians are currently eligible for state-based matching in California. Their combined focus areas include Diabetes, Heart Health, Gut Health, Kidney Disease, Autoimmune, and more.

Live openings are intentionally checked after the matching questions. A generic calendar could show a time with a clinician who is not the right clinical, age, state, or insurance match for you.

State rules can change. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics maintains links to California licensure boards, statutes, and rules; Nabi uses its current provider records when making a match.

Alexis Swartz

Focus areas: Diabetes, Women's Health, Pre/Post Natal, Eating Disorders, Chronic Dieting/Disordered Eating

Hi there! I'm a Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping people build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food--whether that means supporting recovery from eating disorders, fine-tuning performance nutrition for athletes, or diving into the latest nutrition research. With years of experience in the eating disorder field, alongside deep dives into sports nutrition and clinical research, I blend science with a human-centered approach (and a good dose of real-life practicality). My goal is always the same: to make food feel less stressful and more supportive of the life you want to live! My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and grounded in the belief that all bodies are worthy of care. I've worked in a wide range of settings - from treatment centers and university athletics to labs and lecture halls - which gives me a unique lens on how nutrition, psychology, and performance intersect. I'm especially passionate about helping folks navigate the messy, often confusing world of nutrition with clarity and kindness (and maybe a little humor, too). Outside of work, you can find me exploring the mountains or cheering at a local race. If you're looking for a supportive, science-savvy, and down-to-earth guide on your nutrition journey, you're in the right place!

Focus areas: Diabetes, Heart Health, Gut Health, Kidney Disease, Food Sensitivities

Hi! I'm Chelsea. If you've landed here, there's a good chance that food has felt more stressful than peaceful at some point and I want you to know that makes a lot of sense. Navigating food, health, and body in today's world can feel like rocky terrain. Maybe eating has just felt harder than it should, tangled up in noise from the outside world and a whole lot of conflicting information about what you're supposed to do. Whether you’re navigating disordered eating, digestive concerns like IBS, hormonal conditions such as PCOS or endometriosis, a complicated relationship with your body (or some combination of the above), you’re in the right place.

Supporting people on their journey of changing their relationship with food and their body is my favorite part of nutrition counseling. I believe that you are the expert of your body, so I enjoy working together in a collaborative partnership to create goals and plans of care that are in alignment with your values and lifestyle. Nutrition can feel confusing. Many of us are taught messages about food, weight, health, and our bodies as far back as we can remember, and all of these "rules" can feel overwhelming. I'll help you sort through the noise to find ways to nourish your body in a way that makes sense for you and your goals. Health and nourishment looks different for everyone, so nutrition care should be individualized. My hope is that our work empowers you to feel confident in your food choices, helps you feel more attuned to your body's needs, and provides you with practical strategies that are supportive, realistic, and flexible. As someone who lives in a larger body and has recovered from a long history of disordered eating, I understand that health and nutrition status cannot be judged based on appearance, weight, or BMI, and that sometimes our healthiest weight is not what we've been led to believe it is. Therefore, my nutrition philosophy is weight neutral and fat positive. I practice from a weight inclusive perspective that centers around lived experiences, and am fully aligned with HAES. I'd love to help you break up with the rigidity of dieting, to find freedom and flexibility with eating, and to reclaim headspace back from intrusive thoughts about food and body. Whether you are wanting to explore stepping away from dieting, wanting more joy in your relationship with food and body, and/or you need help managing a medical diagnosis, I would be honored to support you. I strive for you to be able to trust yourself to keep fun foods in your house, while teaching you new ways to help keep your energy stable and fuel your awesome life!

Food can most definitely be fun, but for some it can also be scary, overwhelming, infuriating, comforting, energizing and enjoyable, all at the same time. I am here to help support you in your journey to finding freedom with food and making peace with your body. You are in the driver's seat, but I am here to help steer you along the way in accomplishing your goals. I want to help you learn to embrace the signals that your body sends you, rather than to fear them. And I want to help provide gentle nutrition reminders so that you can fuel your body for all the things you want to accomplish!
