You've done the first, hard step of your journey - reaching out for support. Whether you've been diagnosed with an eating disorder or food just feels anxiety provoking and exhausting you deserve a life that is more free! Food and our bodies are constants in our lives, and yet our relationships with them can be challenging and keep our life smaller than we want it to be. I strongly believe that no one should have to go through life feeling overwhelmed by food or disconnected and at-odds with their body. Together we can explore your story and history with food and your body and the ways you would like those relationships to be different. I take a whole person, individualized approach that means we will find what works best for you and throw out the rest. I encourage you to bring all of yourself into our space so that together we can identify behaviors and beliefs that work for you now and those that worked for you in the past but are no longer serving you.

Nourishment goes far beyond nutrition - a central belief when working together. I offer a holistic approach to nutrition therapy that recognizes health is about more than just what’s on your plate. We all need to feel seen, understood, and accepted as we are now. Providing this support is the only goal I pop into the zoom room with.

Supporting people on their journey of changing their relationship with food and their body is my favorite part of nutrition counseling. I believe that you are the expert of your body, so I enjoy working together in a collaborative partnership to create goals and plans of care that are in alignment with your values and lifestyle. Nutrition can feel confusing. Many of us are taught messages about food, weight, health, and our bodies as far back as we can remember, and all of these "rules" can feel overwhelming. I'll help you sort through the noise to find ways to nourish your body in a way that makes sense for you and your goals. Health and nourishment looks different for everyone, so nutrition care should be individualized. My hope is that our work empowers you to feel confident in your food choices, helps you feel more attuned to your body's needs, and provides you with practical strategies that are supportive, realistic, and flexible. As someone who lives in a larger body and has recovered from a long history of disordered eating, I understand that health and nutrition status cannot be judged based on appearance, weight, or BMI, and that sometimes our healthiest weight is not what we've been led to believe it is. Therefore, my nutrition philosophy is weight neutral and fat positive. I practice from a weight inclusive perspective that centers around lived experiences, and am fully aligned with HAES. I'd love to help you break up with the rigidity of dieting, to find freedom and flexibility with eating, and to reclaim headspace back from intrusive thoughts about food and body. Whether you are wanting to explore stepping away from dieting, wanting more joy in your relationship with food and body, and/or you need help managing a medical diagnosis, I would be honored to support you. I strive for you to be able to trust yourself to keep fun foods in your house, while teaching you new ways to help keep your energy stable and fuel your awesome life!

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a background in Eating Disorders, mental health disorders, sports nutrition/dance nutrition, food allergies and gastrointestinal disorders. I provide individualized care to better support each person and build a sense of security and confidence in their relationship with food and their bodies. I practice from an "all foods fit" and weight neutral lens with a focus on mindful and intuitive eating rather than restrictive dieting. I have worked in various levels of care for eating disorders and mental health support throughout the greater Los Angeles area. I approach care from a weight neutral, non-diet, client centered lens. I work closely with individuals to ensure that they are moving at a pace that works well for them and recognize that everyone has differing needs and preferences when it comes to their care. I focus on compassionate care through a research-based lens. I aim to ensure that each individual whom I work with feels like they are heard and have the space to be open about challenges that may arise and celebrate the successes in our work together.

RDN, LDN, CEDS-C

Focus areas: Diabetes, Heart Health, Gut Health, Food Sensitivities, Women's Health

Hi there! I'm Laura, and I'm here to help you feel more at ease around food and your body — especially if eating has started to feel overwhelming, stressful, or tangled up with your mental health. You might be navigating recovery, chronic dieting, or simply feeling stuck in cycles that don't feel good anymore. My goal is to help you build a steadier, more trusting relationship with food that supports both your physical and emotional well-being. I've spent the last decade working in mental health settings and eating disorder treatment, supporting people through everything from active recovery to long-standing patterns of disordered eating and chronic dieting. That experience means you're met with nuance, not assumptions. Whether you're working through an eating disorder, trying to untangle food from anxiety or depression, or looking for nutrition support that actually feels sustainable, you'll receive care that's thoughtful, evidence-based, and compassionate. My approach is collaborative, structured, and nonjudgmental. We'll work together to move away from rigid food rules, rebuild trust with your body, and create nutrition strategies that fit your real life — not an idealized version of it. You can expect sessions that feel supportive and grounding, while still helping you make meaningful progress. I want you to leave our work together feeling more confident, more regulated, and less alone in the process.
