About

Howdy! I can’t wait to meet you! I’m Kelsey, a Health At Every Size® (HAES)-aligned, non-diet, fat-positive Registered Dietitian. I love what I do because I get to help guide my clients toward a more peaceful relationship with food and their bodies.

I like to think of nutrition counseling as you being in the driver’s seat, with me riding shotgun and helping you navigate the twisty roads of food, movement, and body image. In our sessions, I’ll utilize evidence-based medical nutrition therapy alongside supportive, therapeutic approaches—with a healthy dash of humor.

Whether you've been feeling confused by nutrition advice you've seen online, have stepped down from a higher level of care, or maybe you have tried every diet in the book and are ready to try something different, you’ve come to the right place! This isn’t a “quick fix,” but rather deeper, supportive work to help you start working with your body, and not against it.

What it's like working with me

First time seeing an RD? Welcome!! Please know I am not the food police, you will not be leaving the session with a rigid meal plan, and no food shame here! Sessions are quite similar to talk therapy. Together, we will complete a nutrition assessment, so that I can understand your current concerns and what you are looking to gain from nutrition counseling. I will start by explaining the structure for our first appointment. During the assessment I will be collecting information such as: medical, lifestyle, food history, then discussing what food & movement currently look like. We'll wrap up with some goal setting to provide us with direction for our sessions, and I will be sure to leave time for your questions!

I would describe my nutrition counseling style as compassionate, person-centered, and down-to-earth.

After 3 years living in a converted school bus tiny-home, I am settled in northern Vermont with my partner (who, fun fact, makes maple syrup for a living) and my 2 adorable rescue pups! I try to spend as much time outside as I can, you are likely to find me gardening, skiing, hiking, and sitting by the campfire enjoying a s'more.
